This describes the steps to install Stack-N-Tack TM stone veneer siding for either new construction or remodeling. ~No brick ledge is required~ Waterproof Membrane- a self adhesive rubber flashing works well. Openings - seal the flanges around the windows with self adhesive waterproof membrane. And once the stone flashing reaches the bottom of the window you can put membrane over the flashing then the sides and then finish with the top. Inside Corner Flashing - with a 12inch self adhesive waterproof membrane or a 12inch piece of aluminum with a 90 degree bend. Bottom Flashing - 6 inches along the bottom with aluminum flashing or self adhesive waterproof membrane. Lap Stone Veneer Installation - starting at the bottom check the leveling few stone, make adjustments if necessary. There are different lengths of lap stone, when placing them on the wall each seam on the lower course must be overlapped three inches. Saw cut might be required. Nailing Lap Flashing - nailing the bottom one inch up and one inch over from the side. Sills On Windows - sills must be screwed into place under the window, the top layer of stone veneer must be sawed to fit and adhesive applied. Corners - right and left corners must be staggered. |
